Nissan 1.5 litre engine, 400 bhp

Featured Replies

its the weight i find amazing!

the bhp per litre is impressive but not totally unheard of, 80s formula 1 car engines (though only lasted two minutes) were making simple mental power per litre 30 years ago.

if this engine will hold itself together it will be revolutionary.

guessing its similar to ford ecoboost type design.

Not just the engine, but the whole ZEOD project I find quite interesting.

Just need to pop it in a micra with 4WD now :)

Incredible.

not sure of its longevity in a road car though.

Wonder how long it will take for some of the technology to filter through to the road cars?  Sounds like there is potential for radical improvements to a road going car engine which would not have to have the power to weight ratio of that one.

That sounds amazing.
