How comfy are the Civic Type R seats, how easy would it be to change the bases to fit an octy Vrs?

Type R seats are nice I had red integra type Rs in my old 205 gti. They took a fair bit of modding to get in but worth the effort. If you've got welding skills should be easy.

They are mega comfy! Anything can be made to fit with the right tools!

Can normally make an adaptor plate easy enough with 6mm steel, but it will add weight...

maybe im missing something, but why go to the effort when there are so many different seats to choose from that are a direct fit?

There's nothing like the type-r seat in the VAG mk.4 range though

The type-r seat is reasonably light iirc

I was just intrigued really, I have mk4 recaros at the moment, but looking for other options, like snow muncher said, there isn't anything really, bar r32 seats like the type r's, just thought they could look pretty good in an octy.

The R32 seat might look a little bit like a type-r seat, but they're nothing like each other

 

The type-r seat is a basically a proper recaro type reclining lightweight(ish) sports seat, very supportive

 

The R32 seat is neither lightweight or supportive
