Just joined and have always had an interest in most things to do with motoring. The Octavia is the first new car of many owned that has been completely trouble and fault free during its first year.Long may it continue.

Welcome to Briskoda. . Does your towbar fitting experience include the coping with the complexities of CANBUS electrics when wiring?

I see I failed the first test by not reading the Intro!

Will avoid any issues, I am not wanting to interact with the CANBUS just wire the basics so that the CANBUS is not interupted.

 

Will fit it next week and report progress.

Not to worry. When you do report back, I recommend that you do so in the Octavia II forum.

Type 'site:briskoda.net towbar electrics' into whatever browser you use to see the problems members have had getting towbars wired correctly. It does seem to be far from straightforward!
