Limited edition?

Featured Replies

So I rung up SKODA insurance today to arrange my free 7 day cover.  When I gave the very helpfull lady my registration number she said it was an Octavia VRS Limited Edition. What does that mean and could she have made a mistake?

What year is it?

61 plate petrol but as far as i am aware from the little info i have found they come with leather seats as standard?  Mine has the cloth seats.  Is there any way to confirm this?  I think she may have made a mistake possibly.

Im not sure on the FL models. I know there was a blackline limited edition in the FL but not sure on the specs. Someone else should be able to help.

On a few sites my car comes up as the "Limited Edition". I've manually changed things on the website and it hasn't made any difference to the quote.

It's all odd because I assume all insurance companies would get their details from the same place - however the very fact there is this difference shows they don't.

Yup, confirmed with dealer NOT a limited edition.  Apparently all information is obtained from the DVLA so how the hell Skoda insurance got that is beyond me hahaha

My 2009 limited edition doesn't get recognised as an LE on any websites. Not sure what type of person they employ at the DVLA tbh.

I had a similar experience. I confirmed with DVLA that they had my details correct (which they had) and then forwarded that confirmation to my insurer.

Since then no more problems.

The DVLA informed me they don't sell info directly to insurers but rather through "buying agents". Clearly this must be where the errors creep in.

I don't think it's the DVLA.

My car initially came up as a VRS Diesel DSG, but it's a Petrol manual. I found out that the initial registration documents were filled in incorrectly.
