Hello from Exeter

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I'm Theo

recently bought a house and in doing so i sold my nissan 350z and bought a 1l vw polo. wanted something somewhere in between the 2 with a bit more space and speed than the vw.

Bought myself a nice mk1 octavia vrs estate with 130,000 miles on the clock. Currently this is handling moving big house stuff and rubbish around very nicely and i seemed to have wacked another 3000 on the clock. It is completely standard currently and has a full skoda service history which set me back 1500 quid.

I intend to run it for a long time to come, fingers crossed, as i have finished with sports cars for a while and am venturing into the world of motorbikes for my weekends.

I am looking for some new wheel caps as the old ones are knackered and new front and rear bagdes as they are mega faded (looking at fitting the new black skoda ones as they look pretty cool).

as far as modding it goes i want an induction kit on it as i love the sound but currently with a new house i cant justify the monies for a new one. maybe next month i will look out for a decent second hand one.

cheers

Hi and welcome aboard.

Hello from Exmouth

South Devon, lovely place.

Lived much of my life between Exeter, the South Devon Moor and Plymouth and like going back there.

Enjoy the Exeter to Plymouth drive more than the Motorway drive to that point.

Holden/Telegraph hill on the Plymouth side is quite a dyno test, out dragging the 2 litre diesel dogs up there is a heap of fun at 120 or so (kph of course Officer).

Loved our Mk 1 VRS, yellow one.

You may need a boat at some point when Cornwall and Devon get separated from the mainland when the Somerset levels are given/taken back to the sea. They already have a name or the island, Lyonesse.

For Dave the PM....

Then rose the King and moved his host by night
And ever pushed Sir Mordred, league by league,
Back to the sunset bound of Lyonesse--
A land of old upheaven from the abyss
By fire, to sink into the abyss again;
Where fragments of forgotten peoples dwelt,
And the long mountains ended in a coast
Of ever-shifting sand, and far away
The phantom circle of a moaning sea
