Unfortunately not - it had been pencilled in for yesterday but the transporter had been delayed .

 

They were thinking early today so it will actually be tomorrow that I take delivery.

 Not that big an issue really seeing as the original order was only done start of Feb making it under 8 weeks build time!

I understand that the delivery drivers (Eddie Stobart) have been on strike so that might be the delay.

Picked it up on Friday and I am not disappointed.

 

All the good bits of the original but with a few minor upgrades such as Bluetooth, better functioning Bolero (ie it starts playing within 5 secs as opposed to 1 min+).

 

Real world fuel economy looks to be around 45mpg which makes me happy compared to 30mpg in the TSI

How long after your order on 4th Feb did you dealer give you provisional build date, and then confirmed date?

They didn't - placed the order and then had a phone call the week of delivery to say it was on its way.

 

Having said that, I didn't keep in contact with them either.

I had my provisional build week within a week of placing my order on 15th Feb, if that helps.

You should get a preliminary build date within a week of placing order ( provided dealer has actually placed the order on the system immediately).

 

I placed my order on a Sat, & got a date on the Tue.
