Dash Cam...a Nit Wit question.....?

Featured Replies

Now I know this is a really stupid question; and as there are a few experts on here you have probably fell off your chair guffawing but........

If your dash cam does not have a built in screen how do you set it up correctly and ensure it is recording exactly what you want it too..?

Please be gentle with me................ta !

Look where the lens is pointing.

Pop the SD card out and view it on your PC.

If the unit is level (left/right) then it's just a case of getting the lens pointing towards the road a few car lengths in front of you.

Once you know, you don't really need to check.

And you will always have the ability to connect a (small) monitor to it. If you have one of those portable DVD players, you could hook it up.

Did that once, after I bought my first cam, but as BossFox wrote, just point it towards the road.

Thanks for taking the trouble to respond.

As I "feared" it is pretty obvious really when you know !
