Been lurking for a while, as was working out what I was going to buy to replace my thirsty Golf 4motion which has now gone..

 

another golf, a polo, an a3... or..... a fabia vrs.

nice car, exactly like mine almost same reg, they are a very torquey wee car. i had a gttdi golf with same engine "asz" it had 160k and was running like a dream, was regularly serviced so that is what probably stood by it. however i have only bought this wee vrs like yours and i am waiting on the reg to arrive as it is subject to a cherished transfer. good luck with it?

Cheers, yeah seems like a good buy so far - definitely hoping to put that kind of mileage on it. Was looking at the mk5 golf instead but everything seemed like a compromise for the money whereas this just wasn't. Thanks, you too bud - any pics of yours?
