Rear axle VRS

Featured Replies

Been looking at getting a jabba arb fr my mk1 vrs and looked under you to realise its a fixed rear axle not independent anybody else have a rear axle or is it just me ?

It sits on on the rear beam and bolts in to the bottom of the strut mounts on :)

All Fabia have torsion beam rear suspension. So do the Polo and Ibiza which share the same chassis.

Do they? It must be an incredibly soft beam if that's the case as don't they also have springs on each corner?

Yes. If you don't believe me, look underneath your car :)

Think it's because you called it a torsion beam and is thinking it's like on 106s/Saxos and 205s etc where a torsion bar is used instead of springs. The Fabia is just an axle beam.

Yes but I think he's thinking of a bar that's why he said about springs as well, I assume that's what he thought anyway.
