Octavia Mk1 Steering Rack - URGENT!

Featured Replies

Afternoon all!

Found out my steering rack is gone, need to get it replaced this weekend, but need to know what the code for it is.

My car is a PD130, will the rack be the same as any other Octavia Mk1?

Anyone know the product code for it?

someones selling one on here chap

Lloyd55vrs?

I have one but I can't get it to you until next week - It won't have arms attached so will need arms fitting, and then alignment done etc.

Are all TDI ones the same, regardless of if they are 90, 110 or 130?

Mine is from a 2002 Octavia vRS so not sure on the compatability thing...

Hello all

Some advice please is a LHD rack different to RHD??

or can they be adapted?

Octavia Mk1 Tdi 1998.

The column will be in wrong place and doubt they can be adapted.

I have a complete rack for sale in Devon.

Thanks for that but i live in portugal the car is RHD

LHD and RHD are not compatible with one another due to fittings being on wrong side and usually angled differently

Sent from my Galaxy S5

Thought that would be the case

thanks

Shipping a rack to Portugal wouldn't be cheap.  If the steering arms were removed to compact it a little and the tie rods/arms taken off, I still think it would be a £50+ parcel to send within Europe.

PS: What is a RHD car doing in Portugal?

Brought it with me when I moved!!

have found a firm that have stated they can renovate existing

will see ??
