Haha, I'm a really bad offender for OT content, I can't say much.

Didn't get the time to do a car this weekend so no new news sadly.

It might merit some time off work, Chris what are your detailing days  ??

As and when...except Tuesdays and Wednesdays...but off ALL the w/b 17th Feb

Well if and when I get organised I'll be bringing a sample for you to try :)

  • 2 weeks later...

Have you tried the looking sweet yet mate?

Have you tried the looking sweet yet mate?

yes mate, just switched my summers back on.

I have one wheel with SRP, Rejex Sealant and Looking Sweet.

one with SRP and two coats looking sweet

One with SRP and two coats blind test wheel wax from Waxybox

One that I just SRP'd,

Will be charting the progress.

Well you sir for one as I have already promised you some, just need to arrange to get it to you.  Fellow detailing nut from the office next to mine, so that will see it on a beautifully maintained blue Golf R32 and offered another friend from work with a burnt orange 1 Series Coupé, might treat SWMBO's Dark Grey Yaris at some point and for variety my little bro will test on his Light Grey/Gunmetal/Silver Insignia.  If he reads this I may also get an offer from the owner of a copper/bronze coloured Yeti :)

I think a tin is half a lifetime's worth  and that is if I owned no other waxes, consistency suggests it will go on nice and thin too

If you need someone to help trial on a well maintained black MK1 Fabia vRS...

...seriously, if you have any "spare" that you want to sell, I would be keen to try...

Few more snaps of this coming after today's session

Gave the car a polish with Cherry Glaze AIO and half is now wearing Brazil's finest.

Short résumé - easy on/off left five minutes only, very economical, lovely depth, mid gloss (not glassy) flakes not muted, oily but very firm wax. Looks fab, very happy.

Very nice, seems a good quality carnauba. How would you rate it against your favorite wax?

Great beading there Mark

Well I have three times the car exterior to protect now, so if you would like to come and point and laugh as it takes me 48h to detail the superb, you are welcome.

Please bring a selection of microfibres, brushes, your rotary and a healthy expectation that I will want you to lend a hand.

Sounds good - we have been looking for someone to organise a detailing day!  ;)

It is a big bus to detail - i know, as i helped Alan do the detail on Simbo's Superb.
