canton and vrs 2014 hatch

Featured Replies

i got my new vrs hatchback a week ago but i dont like the sound system that came with it it seems very low compaired to my old 2011 vrs basic system is this normal? is it to late to get the dealer to upgrade it to canton system now that i have the car i was waiting 5 months for the car already? just seems the music is very low even turned up full blast. would it cost much for this to be done?

Yes,it is too late.

Technically it is probably possible but the cost would be absolutely crazy. I would go through all your settings to make sure it is set up right or if it is so bad that you think there is something wrong with it, bring the car back to the dealer and have the system checked out.

Before you change anything, let your speakers break In for a little longer. That will improve the sound!

All speakers are like that.

I have the Canton, and I was'nt too pleased with the sound In the beginning. Now, after two months of listening, the sound has improved alot.

So just be a little patient :)

You could also look at getting a quote from any car audio shop to get another system installed if the standard system isn't enough...

definatley not loud enough a week in no way near my 2011 vrs basic  system in that  hope it gets better i have the setting all on full in the sound settings?

Definitely would be cheaper going for an after-market ICE system, the cost of adding in the Canton would be astronomical compared to getting a different system fitted.

I am happy with the sound quality, but sound volume is bad...

The standard setup in the mk3 demo I triedcwas utter crap. Nowhere as good as my mk2 which is pretty good. Let's hope the Canton on my new car is as good as the mk2

If you Are playing via Bluetooth, don't forget to turn the sound up on your phone. Othervise it will not be loud.

I have the sound source via SD card on a stock system and its not too bad really, well for a basic system. At some point, i think useful improvements could be made by upgrading the speakers. The only real obstacle to that is knowing how to remove the door panels and replace them again properly.
