Octavia vRS Estate (mk1 16") Needs New Shoes

Featured Replies

Having read a few threads, seems a few choices.

So, which tyres for 16" alloys that have to be good in the wet.

Its an estate which will carry a fair bit every now and again.

I am after a set of 4 (will probably do em when the alloys get re-furb)

Experiance, links etc

Thanks

Matthew

I us dunlop bluresponse. Quuet good grip and reasonably priced.

Dunlop - Normally found separating decent tyres (eg Bridgestone, Goodyear, Michelin, Toyo, Yokohama...) from Chinese ditchfinders in independant tyre tests.

I would recommend Goodyear Efficient Grip.

I have been running Goodyear for a good over 10 years now and have never had a problem.

My last Octavia was a 1.8TSi and after the factory tyres wore out I had the Goodyear's on and they perform very well in all conditions.

I do around 1000 miles a week in all weathers and on all road types and I don't drive like Miss daisy.

I was running 205/55/16.
