Looking at getting a diesel.

Fabia vrs VS Astra 888

Unsure, and the question is stupid because im askin Skoda lovers, but do you genuinely think its better than the Astra?

If your unsure what the 888 is, well

The Astra is 200bhp diesel, woth 50mpg obv

4pot brakes, 1.2 team dynamics, sports kit, fww T8 markings, eibach springs , vxr shocks ect.

Opinions?

As much as I like the Fabia vRS and think it's a great car. The 888 wins this one. The spec is better as a standard car.

I watched fifth gear (I think) where they raced an Astra VXR vs the 888 CDTI. There was hardly anything in it during the in gear acceleration test.

The vRS wouldn't be as close (giving its 107 bhp deficit).

I've got a astra 888 and my wife has the Fabia vrs, there is no comparison the vrs is a great car, but the astra is a different league.

The 888 is more money and maintenance is more expensive, if your looking for great stopping, handling ,fuel economy and performance get the astra! I may sell mine for the right price. Matt

Wouldn't mind a 888  for a winter track car, keep it mate.
