Does anyone know what is required to fit this unit so the maxi dot works and the dab is fully functional any help much appreciated.

All you need is a DAB antenna and the car to be coded to work with the maxidot.

Best if the mods could move this to the ICE section.

You'll also need a GPS antenna and probably a new fascia.

But basically direct swap and recoding of car.

RNS 510 doesnt have DAB.  You need to code the can gateway to tell it the car has a sat nav.  Everything else will work then, ie maxidot integration.

 

No fascia adapter required and GPS antenna will magnetically stick to the bar behind the top glovebox.

how new? I've got a March 2013 one without dab. Only ones I've seen with dab aren't columbus units and are about 900quid!

You might have inferred he was asking about a Columbus unit but there's only been mention of RNS510's until now.

The DAB models were out pre March 2013 as well.
