New Citigo mudguards/PCP/i10

Featured Replies

My new car has arrived and I collect on Saturday.

Have been reading posts while waiting for delivery and a few things to add per previous discussions.

Mudguards.  As part of my deal my dealer agreed to supply & fit mudguards.  As we all know Skoda only seem to supply front ones.  Anyway phoned my dealer today in prep for the weekend and he advised Skoda now supply rear ones for Citigo so my dealer fitted them too at no extra cost.  He advised took 2+ hours to fit them they were real pest, but ultimately dealer advising Skoda now do supply rear mudguards for Citigo.  Well done my dealer they didn't need to do that if he hadn't told me I'd never have known.

PCP. Read previous posts with interest, I got mine on the zero % / free servicing deal.  While there are arguments and counter arguments re PCP the bottom line is rather than paying for the car from savings I have got it on a min deposit deal with large baloon payment at end, so my money sitting earning interest fro 42 months.  No brainer if PCP is zero%.  Actually less than zero as the servicing worth £500.

Hyundai i10.  I have a 61 plate i10 which I am trading in.  I got my base model i10 brand new for £6995.  It is and was a very cheap car.  Cheap being the key having test drove a citigo the quality of the drive of citigo is far far better.  i10 very tinny. So after driving a cheap base model i10 I am now going for citigo Elegence with add ons.  At end of day get what you pay for, i10s are cheaper for a reason.  And cheap in my view I bought that car purely on a budget, ignoring the looks.  Never liked the look of my i10, but do like the look of citigo (obviously).  I have some favourable views of the current i10 but advice would be that if you can afford a better car get the better car.  Namely a citigo.  The new i10 is getting good reviews but personally I don't like the look of it, regardless how good it may be.

Weirdly, in Aberdeen, hardly ever see citigos.  I have seen 3 in past two days.  They must be breeding.  Any as of this weekend I'll be adding to the family...

Re: rear mudflaps. They make very little difference to the filthy state of the Citigo's rear end, unfortunately.

Re: PCP.  Earning interest over 42 months...very little there. Free servicing...actually the three services cost nowhere near £500.

I preferred a cash deal with £800 off list (this was last year...before the long lead-ins started).

Done my numbers, they add up to being best for my circs. As you have for yours oxonboxn no doubt, so we are both happy. Fair enough re the rear mudguards if that is your experience....

Do you mean the wheel arch liners for the rear?

2 hours to fit?

Seems long time for a small job.
