hi bit of a strange one. two weeks ago offside head light blew . (obviously i changed it) got in the car today & the drivers side one has blown. now changed as well. is it just one of those things  or because i only changed one of them. please dont jokingly lecture me on the merits of changing both at the same time . it was late in the day & only had enough money for one

Not unusual for the second to fail shortly after the other.

Same happened with our brake lights recently.
