Today my wife called to say that the clutch felt strange on the car.She discribed it as vibrating when pushed ,more so when pushed lightly.Also saying the pedal was a bit lazy to come all the way up.Ive got home tonight to try it and although there is no clutch slip and the bite point it good i can hear a slight metallic crunching/tinkling noise when the pedals pushed .More worrying is the vibration through the pedal though.Is this the sudden end to the DMF or just a knackered release bearing? The car is not mapped and has 70k on it but I was hoping to map it (stage 2) as I have a milltek and BSH kit fitted.

What sort of cost are we talking for the clutch and dmf kit.So far the car has cost a small fortune on things like this that keep going wrong :(

I in hind sight would have been better off keeping the subaru :(

Well my lemon of a vrs just gets better.Booked in for a new DMF and clutch on Saturday and now the high level brake light stays dimly lit and just to top it off the steering angle sensors decided to throw its toys out the pram and bring lots of lovely lights on the dash.

Time to fix and sell I think as I've never spent so much in such a short time on any car.

Such a shame as I like the car and had plans for it :(
