CUSTOM REMAP

Featured Replies

just spoke to darkside and they quoted me £480 for custom map is this about right?

Sounds about average, normally works out cost of standard map then you add on rolling road and labour time.

talk to faboka.

also r tech if nr hinckley they do for 250 on rolling road and have good reviews im off there next week

Just been to Rtech today for my custom map. I asked for silky smooth. I got silky smooth. Health check included. Best £250 I've ever spent.

Got 170bhp and 300lbs of torquey goodness, all delivered in perfect useable smoothness. No question about it

Whats been done to your car?

milltec turbo back, hybrid turbo, cupra cooler, egr delete, panel filter had it roaded 210.8 bhp 268lbt torque low to me

My is 100% stock and they reckon for an everyday drive (reliability etc.) won't get much better than what I have.

Contact Rtech http://www.r-techpower.co.uk/

Worth the drive, I set off at half 6 this morning haha. Got back a lot quicker somehow :)

torque figure seems really low they usually put about more than 320Ftlb's unless you've had a safe map put on?

My buttery smooth safe map with stock got 300lbt

As above contact John (Faboka on here) or click the link in my signature for his website :)

Attention to detail and amount of time he spends on a map is unreal!

My car was previously mapped by JBS using Custom Code mapping, John showed me the map once he pulled it from my ecu and it was crap.

Got a custom map, but not from any of these mentioned, cost me £350, plus now get free mapping now on, on a safe mode atm

+1 for faboka. Yet to hear a bad word said about him.

FABOKA. That is all.

Faboka, relentless support. Guy is a hero :)

Another vote for Faboka from me. So helpful, even if you have lots of stupid questions! Love the map(s) too.

Faboka!

Another one for r-tech. 174bhp, 290 torques. Asked for a smooth clutch friendly map and that is what I got :) hardly any smoke too.

health check, before and after dyno & recommendations with tips and advice etc. A bunch of really nice guys with service to back it up. Niki really knows his stuff too, especially 1.8T and 2.0 TFSI engines.

Rtech mine too.   bought the car 2nd hand,  70,000 miles.

took it to rtech,   remapped it,   now on 136000miles,    everything's been spot on.

mpg improved,  and overall power and grunt went up.

no extra smoke.    win win

Oscarli

Faboka without any doubt, buy yourself a Galletto cable and a copy of Vagcom and just do the mapping remotely

superb guy who goes out of his way to help out

+1

Another very good place is Dub Unit in tamworth. I had a remap done by them £150 very smooth with a nice pull of power throughout the whole rev range! I have a graph to prove how smooth and progressive it is, it's around 165-170 & 300lbs torque. Also The power doesn't die off once you get into high rpm, just keeps going

Oh and no smoke what so ever

Another for faboka. Smooth map that pulls like a train. Did quite a few runs logging boost and other stuff and then altered the map until it was spot on. Very nice guy and a awesome map for these cars. I will be doing a dyno run on the 24th with a few lads off here so I will be able to provide you with figures and graph then

Apologies if this is a stupid question but what's the difference between say a Faboka map as opposed to a Shark map for example?

Probably about £200 lol. In all honesty probably not alot. I've never drove a shark mapped car but how the map is described they sound similar, both very smooth and similar power figures
