No more L&K Yeti's for now?

Featured Replies

I was speaking to my Skoda dealer today he said Skoda have pulled the Laurin & Klement as of last week you couldn't order one. He had an order in for a customer that was rejected a few hours later saying the L&K is no longer available, Current orders are being built he has a few due in soon.

Just info for anyone thinking about getting one.

Phew :whew:  and I was irritated that I couldn't have mine in Shark blue.

My dealer confirmed build week 10 this morning,so hopefully end of march delivery.

Mine is build week 11, does anyone know why they've pulled the model?

I ordered an L&K on the first of feb according to dealer order accepted but still no build date I wonder if this is why.

Very strange, especially this early on since the FLs launch.

Strange...it's the only one now available with the 1.8 petrol engine...our Octy is the 2.0 TDI..and I don't want my wife to have a derv engine...she does shorter journey's that are not really  DPF friendly!

I really wanted a 1.8 Elegance..so hope they re-introduce this with the 1.8.

If it's confirmed then presumably it's SUK having a play with the various model and engine options - perhaps in response to criticism from dealers (AIUI) and potential customers alike. But perhaps someone just pressed the wrong button on the website engine.

Presumably there'll be some clarification and perhaps new model variants appearing in the next week or two to fill the newly-created gaps.

The most likely explanation is that the order to build time for L&K's as got too long... so they are not taking any more orders for the time being until they get some more capacity back in the system.

They've stopped the Citigo Sport too. Dropping all the most attractive models? :(

It would only be a temporary measure I'd hope. And when it comes back let's hope SUK has the right mind to finally bring the VERY short lived 170 DSG L&K back too.

Yes, that would do nicely

Very interesting reading as there are no updates on the internal system and I have simulated a couple of L&K's (1.8 and 170 variants) on the system to see if it gets thrown out but nothing.

There were a couple of messages of "no quota for period XXX" or "order filled for period XXX" etc but it seemed to accept the order  :wonder:

it could just be the dealer has exceeded their quota, you may as eluded to by the post previous to this get an order through from another dealer.

I'm sure I read or heard somewhere that the L&G wasn't meant to be carried over into FL guise but was only temporarily for those who ordered just as pre FL stopped and orders rejected.

I would have thought the L&K's were possibly the most profitable variant for Skoda, top of the line models usually are. Unless Skoda are too profitable within the VW group (as if that were possible  ), it would seem a strange move, particularly if demand is there.

If that's true then Skoda have wasted an awful lot of money including L&Ks in the latest brochures, configurators, etc...

+ I would think there is a good chance buyers who have set their sights on a top of the range model are more likely to go elsewhere than settle for a "lesser" variant.
