My fabia vas has a strange fault with the lighting.

 

When i turn the headlights on, sometimes the rear foglight turns on with them and the light comes on the dash to show this. If i push the lighting switch in, this turns it off. 

 

If i pull the switch out one click the front fogs come on, then again, the rears come on. 

 

Anyone got any ideas as to why the rears come on sometimes without pulling the switch out??

Sounds like it might be a faulty switch.

You have a light on the dash to show your fogs are on? 

 

Or is it on the switch itself?

Remove the switch from the dash. In the off position, push in the switch, turn it to the right and slowly pull the switch assembly out. Remove the green wire (remembering where it goes). If the problem is still there, it's not the switch.

Just to bump this. Still having trouble.

Can't really locate the green wire behind either?

Plus it seems worse with wet weather....
