Adaptive Cruise Control.

Featured Replies

So, way back in August 2013 I ordered an Elegance Estate, and specified adaptive cruise control as an added extra.

I have just been notified that it has, at last, arrived so will be ready for March 1st, The original estimated delivery was Oct/November 2013....

I have  noticed that adaptive cc is no longer listed as an option.

So my question is, will it be delivered with acc as ordered, or will it just disappear from the invoice?

You should get ACC as Skoda still build with ACC for every country apart from the UK!

If it had to be removed from the order your dealer should have informed you. I have seen a vRS picked up yesterday with ACC on it, so no reason why it should be missing from yours.

I think you'll be ok. I hope so, it's a brilliant accessory.

I missed out - I was going to order new at the beginning of October when ACC and Front Assist magically disappeared from the options list.

I hope they come back at some point (L&K???)

You can always check with the dealers to make sure it has it. I did the same with the pano roof and they get a listing from the factory with every option listed which they can then forward to you.

My Elegance was delivered with ACC after ACC was removed in the UK.

If it has not got ACC then the dealer has messed up the order.

It was removed from the brochure in October, so cars ordered a bit before will get it.

ACC is still an option in Europe (France, Germany & Switzerland).

I ordered my vRS in Switzerland in January 2014 with ACC as an option.

Therefore, if you ordered it in the UK (before it was removed from the options list) I'm pretty sure it will be delivered with ACC.

I guess they removed it from the UK because of "useability" problems or customer complaints because it isn't so well optimised for the busy & crowded UK roads.

I use my ACC (with a DSG gearbox)  all the time and I drive mainly round town, in fact it's so good I have become a bit of a lazy driver.

I like it also.

However many people (including my dealer here) really don't the the way it reacts when someone changes lane quickly in front of you.

My previous experience with ACC was the same on UK motorways.

Even with the minimum distance set, it still allowed enough of a gap infront for people to move into which then caused the system to brake to maintain the minimum distance which upsets the BMW behind you!. (Although this was with ACC from other manufacturers, I've never tried it from VAG)

The same thing happens with my ACC.

The system is setup to keep the car at a safe distance from the vehicle in front and people just do not care, understand or bother about safety and braking distances - its all about going down the motorway as fast as you can.
