Octy II Tyre pressures

Featured Replies

Can anybody help me? There's supposed to be a sticker in the fuel filler cap to tell me what the tyre pressures for my octy II should be - it's a 2.0TDi Elegance on standard alloys. I rang the dealer who said "30psi all round should see you right", but that seems a bit vague to me. Has anyone else got this sticker?

Cheers

It may be inside the drivers door if its not on the filler cap. Failing that they are in your owners handbook.

I'll have a look inside the drivers door- the handbook refers you to the filler cap, which is rather handy (not!)

I got that line from a dealer when I enquired about the pressures on the Fabia vRS. "We use 30 all around for servicing." Works out at just over 10% under inflated at the front if you go with that. If you can't find it give Skoda Customer Services a call. Type pressures are something I have found them useful on in the past - especially the conversions from KPa to PSI.

Mines a 2.0FSI but can't see why it should be much different. It says 2.2 bar all round for normal loads

I have 17 ins alloys with 225's on them. Can anyone recommend? I have 30 in them, but the fronts look a bit low.

Checked my Fuel Filler Cap..........

Yep, big sticker with loads of options on engine type, spped, number of people in car etc. But all in Bars.

I personally from the setting put 32psi in the front and 34psi in the rear.

Thamks everyone - looks like 2.2bar it is!

Its 2.0 bar rear and 2.2 bar front on the octy1 Elegance if thats any use. Although my brother-in-law borrowed my car and said they 'looked soft' and put them upto 3 bar all round the silly twot.

I thought everyone knew by now that radials always look soft - perhaps he normally drives a Ford Anglia [sit-up-and-beg model!]
