Swapping parts

Featured Replies

As Haynes arent releasing a manual for the Octavia until spring 2006 i wondered if anyone had done either of the following and had a how to or tips for me?

1. i want to swap the inlet manifold for a polished one i have.

2. i want to swap the boost hoses for the 5 piece kit i have.

Any help is appreciated.

Inlet manifold not sure. Boost hoses - you will need replacement jubilee clips as most of them have one-time clips on. For the big one from the intercooler to the manifold you will need a lot of patience if it is fitted with P clips as they're a biatch to get back on afterwards. You may also find you need to cut the hose by up to 1 1/2 inches to stop it chafing on the chassis member under the bottom end. Offer it up first and trim it until it stops kinking - you'll see what I mean.
