Does any one know how much scrapman pays for a 1.8t catalyst converter

The scrap guy who comes around my work gave me 20-30 for my old cat but I just wanted rid of it really so not sure what the going rate is?

Always worth a haggle might get £50? But not sure what the going rate is sure someone on here might know?

If not maybe try ebay some people fit decats and want a stock cat again? Might be worth it if your in no rush?

You'd be very lucky getting £50 for it. As catalysts go, they aren't the best/valuable. 

Arr may aswell keep it then put it back on car when come to sell it

I was offered £26 for one.  They are not the "good" platinum laden cats so less of the valuable stuff.

I got £30 for mine summer last year.

Sounds like you;re up my way- Give EMR in Blaydon a call or just pop in if you;re near enough and ask- the guy who weighs in the cats isn't in every day so worth calling before hand
