Which Wash buckets?

Featured Replies

Wash buckets come with the grid in the bottom but I've been looking at some reveiws that complain that the grids float as they don't fit correctly, so which would you chaps recommend & why?

Thanks:)

I got mine from Shinearama, but they've gone belly up...The guard does not float

So I have no experience of any other to recommend. Sorry

I got some from Simon at iShine! Discount code available too.... great value

I bought 2 mop buckets from Wilkinsons for about £1.20 each. filled them up and used the cone shaped grill but binned them as they don't go deep enough,

they are great without the cones, I use 2 different coloured ones so I don't mix them up, just use the top 6 inches of water with a hand mitt and when you have done take a look at the muck in the bottom,

I also use an air blaster to dry the car but that is a luxury bought for me by the family when I got the car, it works great but takes a bit time though no effort and gets into places you can't get a cloth

some times I wish I had my old Landrover, that used to get washed regularly by hand using the one bucket and a sponge, drip dry technique on that one!

Best regards to all,

George

I have read this and do agree with it Oxonboxn, as long as you don't drop the wash mit in the bucket :(

So like George (I use 2 different coloured ones so I don't mix them up, just use the top 6 inches of water with a hand mitt and when you have done take a look at the muck in the bottom,)

I will get 2 different coloured buckets for washing & rinsing :)

I always use one...Everyone to their own

A bucket?

I've got 2 from B&Q and bought the grit guards seperately off ebay as I wasn't prepared to pay the silly prices some retailers wanted. I haven't had any issues either. Key thing is to get decent sized buckets that are light in colour so you can spot the grit and see more easily if the water in either bucket is getting dirty.

I use 3, I for washing the car body, 1 for washing the wheels and 1 for rinsing the mitts etc., all with Grit Guards and all of them end up with crap in the bottom of them.

Got my 3 from Deano at Mainz (before it was called Mainz).

A bucket?

...a grit guard

...a grit guard

.....but with a bucket

Really?

I wondered where all the water was going :giggle:  :giggle:

I have 3 buckets, 2 of which have gamma seals so I can fill with hot water and travel around with them.

But I got mine from motorgeek, and not the cheapest.

, 2 of which have gamma seals

Just don't make them angry.........you wouldn't like them when they are angry

Jokes aside, I know people who use that type of bucket with ONR when going to a show/meet
