Xenon headlight issue

Featured Replies

Hi boys and girls,

So far Briskoda has been a saint to me with my Octavia. But after much searching I can only find one or two links to light issues.

I'm no car guru so I do apologies in advance If I seem a little simple.

The problem.

The lights when turned on would self level, move up and down and find it's sweet spot. Unfortunately it now isn't doing this and the lights are so far dipped it is almost dangerous to drive.

I have checked both sensors on the axles after reading another post from Oct 13 and found the front sensors plug was off to which I reconnected but with no changed to the lights.

Any suggestions from the kind folks of Bris.

Many thanks for your time and efforts,

UkM

need someone to read coding.

They do this for safety reasons I believe.

Few days ago just clearing an error on mates car it started to do the level testing on startup, before because of error it didn´t

if the suspension or something around that area has been off its often the linkage might have been disturbed. When this happens they stop adjusting and need re-coding as above

When there is an issue with the self levelling system the lights automatically default to their lowest setting as a fail safe.

If one of the suspension sensors has popped off and you've reconnected it then you now need to clear the fault codes to get the lights to work as before.

This is assuming the sensor wasn't damaged when it was knocked off.
