Octavia Mk3 towbar coding - Wiltshire

Featured Replies

As per the topic title, is anyone able to code my towbar on my 2013 Octavia hatchback.  I have fitted the Westfalia towbar and dedicated wiring kit.

I am in the North Wiltshire area, and can provide beer tokens :)

If you know what to code I have the kit :sun:  I am free Sat morning 9 miles east of Devizes so not too far from you give me a shout if you want to try.

If you have a Lane Assist camera then that needs coding for trailer module as well, as I found out at the weekend when a dealer fit one wasn't coded properly!

I haven't seen it documented anywhere yet on what the rest of the coding should be though.

Thanks for the offer jjc.  But i know nothing about VCDS or coding (new to this stuff, so off for a reading session on Google).

Will let you know if my homework pays off @)

Cheers

Roger

That's not for a MK III though .....

andyvee - I have struggled to find any info on the coding for a Mk3.  Does not help that i am new to the VCDS stuff, and that i do not have VCDS myself.  But a helpful local Briskoda member has offered the use of his VCDS kit.

Do you know where i am looking to find the diagnostic socket?

Yep, to the right of the steering column below the cubby box.

I haven't seen any info for the Mk 3 either, but whoever is supplying the trailer module should advise you, or the kit they are selling is not fit for purpose if they can't provide you with comprehensive coding instructions.
