MKII Landed ..

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I picked up the MKII (2010 Elegance Cr 170 Combi) yesterday. It drives beautifully no rattles or squeaks (60K Miles). Drove from Manchester to Holyhead, then Dublin to Co.Louth. All was well then to my horror, I had the dreaded horizontal lines on the Columbus screen. I reset it (holding CD direction arrows and voice control simultaneously) and it's been fine since. Does this sound like the beginning of the end for the unit, or is there a fix possible?

Overall though, really happy with it.

Cheers,

Rob

Congrats!

Get mine by 7pm tonight. It's on the way to me now. Managed to get it delivered free of charge.

Can't wait!

Thanks sas1810,

Your going to love it.!

Best of luck with it mate,

Rob

Got mine! Done 50 miles already lol.

What a machine! So quiet, comfy, and quick!

Paddle shift works well. Love the turning lights.

Just have to work out the phone connection with my galaxy note 3. It identifies the phone, but keeps failing to connect properly. Minor niggle lol.

Best of luck with it! Hope the columbus issue doesn't reappear. How do the tyres feel?

Thanks Superb 170 ... I'm very very happy with it (completely different feeling car to the MKI, quieter, smoother, faster, more economical. Pretty much better in every way) and also I had a guy buy the MKI today. Very pleased with myself.!

The wheels and tyres are not a problem as far as I'm concerned although I doubt they'd take too may potholes before damage is done, I'll see how it goes. iPhone 5 connected no problem, sat nav is very good (fingers crossed it's ok). I think it did DPF regen on the way home from Manchester, I noticed it idling at just under 1,000 rpm at traffic lights (sound right?). Xenons are brilliant etc etc .... It's booked in for a full service soon (Cummiskey VW Dundalk. I've found them great and good value / customer service)

Happy boy.

Rob

PS:   sas1810, very best of luck with the new car. Hope you get the phone sorted mate.
