Featured Replies

Hi folks,

Ok so i now have a non canbus kit for my octavia and i also purchased VCDS Software and have the lead. Can someone talk me through exactly what i need to do as i honestly haven't a clue what to look for.

Thanks.

Open controller 09 Central Electronics.

Go to Long Coding Helper and look at third page, which is Byte 2

Untick Bit 2 Cold Lamp Diagnostics Active

Go to next page which is Byte 3

Tick Bit 4 Xenon Headlights without shutter installed (Bi-Xenon)

Exit Long Coding and save coding.

You'll get a dialogue box saying "coding accepting"

Job done!

Another easy tweak you can do whilst in this controller is activate the left hand side rear fog light by unticking Byte 3 Bit 2, and ticking Byte 4 Bit 4

Hope this helps

Mike

Cheers Mike.....any other features I can enabled :-)

I paid €340 for it delivered to my front door. Some people might think it is a waste but now I can plug in all German Cars and check fuel/air/sensors/dpf regen and much more like enabling the use of the HID's. Oh and all future software upgrades are free of charge.

Good man! That's a very handy bit of software to have and you should get full support from RossTech as well! Is it All German cars? Always thought they only did VAG software?

Oy works as an OBDII scanner on non VAG cars. I've used mine on a Vectra C before. It won't necessarily work with any car though.

It works on Audi/VW/Seat/Skoda - If i want it to work on more I just buy more leads (you can get them on eBay as-well if you get genuine ones) otherwise RossTech will provide.
