1500RPM Grumble Grind

Featured Replies

Still unable to source the "grumble/vibration SOUND" sound under power/in gear only between 1500  - 2000 rpm. Is made worse under heavier load/up inclines.

Any ideas?

Still don't think its the DMF as car is silent on idle and doesn't change when clutch is dipped.

Hoping to get a recording if I can get the sound clear enough!!

Any ideas?

Are you changing gear in between the mentioned rpm?

Nope!

i have a similar noise too but between 1200 and 1500 ish, have been told its probably a slightly loose aux pulley

hmm..it vibrates through the whole car though? I could try running without an Aux and see if it does it i guess

Did you find the answer to this?

I get it from 1000 to 1250revs.  After that its fine.   What could it be?  Any experts?

I got a pd100 2001.
