Techniclutch

Featured Replies

Has anyone bought from them?

People have and I think all have regretted it. Generally consensus is that it's standard parts painted red.

I couldn't remember If it was them or not.

Matt did ( M9yty ) and had an absolute nightmare.

I almost bought one. It's a complete gamble, some are lucky and work find, but a majority are utter ****

Had been told today that the LUK kit can handle quite a bit torque.

Yep iv got a techniclutch in mine. Thats the reason its off road :(..

Put it in + it wouldnt go in gear at all.

took it out n not touching the plate properly.. bench tested.. worked

put back in + forced into gear. Managed to get it in + out of gear after a harsh roadtest but it juddered when setting off + creeped in 1st + reverse

drove it for 1000-2000miles max + then it lost drive completely.

im now awaiting the weather to get better so i can take the box out again :(

Not good, seems a bit of a lottery.

NO NO NO NO STAY THE **** AWAY THEY ARE ****E, SELLING STUFF THATS NOT RATED, NOT REAL AND HANDLES WELL LESS THAN THE POWER THEY CLAIM.

They are ****, I bought a car with one fitted, it last 8 miles!

avoid avoid avoid. i thought what the hell take a chance. box has been out 5 times, literally smashed one of the carbon kevlar "vr6" clutches, had pieces in the gearbox and everywhere. alot of threats later and they sent me a genuine looking sachs sre clutch, but refused to replace the pressure plate, which has warped 3 fingers, its now slipping after 2 months. save the hassle and do it properly first time. Larkspeed have a cool kit, and so do darkside, they are also cheaper than others. btw this is all 5 speed box related, but should still be applicable.

STEER CLEAR WHILE YOU CAN.

You might as well just give me the money and I will spend it on my car because you will be only throwing it away buying a techniclutch lol
