Felicia wide arch kit and uprated gearbox

Featured Replies

Hi all I have a Skoda Felica challenge rally car and was kind of interested in fitting the works wide arch kit, does anybody have a set laying around or can anybody tell me where I can purchase them.

secondly I have changed the engine from the original 1300 to the 1.4 16v polo 6n engine and was wanting to change the gearbox to a more higher spec does anybody have any information on this many thanks kyle

the arch kit used to be available from a cz website, cannot remember where tho,

the gearbox is an pain as there is very little you can do to it, it is either a full 6 speed straight cut job or std really, look towards spending £1300 or so to sort a box and lsd.

I think you can swap a couple of gears from the fabia mpi box to make 4th a bit closer but thats all. They are quite strong tho and will take a lot of abuse, we always ran ATF gear oil in them to get the shift nice.

thanks for the information, i cant justify them prices will just give the box a full overhaul, i have also found the wide arch it and yes they ar still available but just dont know wether to keep the car original or do something wacky to the car.

Here is the CZ source for the wide arches:

I've never bought anything from them however, so can't comment on their customer service one way or another.

I think the 1300 final drive ratio is certainly better for a 16v rally car (and probably for the road) than the 1600 gearbox in mine.

IIRC there's an even shorter final drive from a  the 1.0 Fabia Mk1 that can fit....but I would search for info on that rather than taking my word for it.

we done the same fitting a 1400 8V  to are felicia I allso look in to 6 speed  box but like you self could not justify spent that money on a gearbox so we have been runing  with a standard box for years its works all right on tarmac rallying but I do not do forest rallys

Gripper do a plate LSD which will transform the car and is where I would spend my money. The fabia 4.8-)1 cwp is no longer available from vw/ skoda but possibly could be found in cz or Poland in a smashed car or something

Hello

i bought my Kitcar bodykit from speedpro, i can tell i´ts good place to buy. DHL delivered parts i a week, as they got the money at the speedpro.

Maybe one pic too :D

Quality of the parts are great. Only what i noticed, is that you need to drill holes for bolts where you need (like fenders, bumpers)  and the attachment points are bit too small, and warped.

Sorry my bad english!  ( it´s the Finnish Rally english you know..)  :wonder:

I when you buy the kit do you get both numbers and the rear wings aswell?? What was shipping like?

a decent body-shop could make those flared arches front and rear from steel, I'm not convinced it's worth the money having them shipped over here.

To be fair tho Tom, how many bodyshops would entertain doing it, even if they still had the old boy who could use a shaper and hammer?

the rears would be handy as with large forest tyres on they catch the front of the arch and rip the metal work out

The kit included:

 -Front fenders, Left & right

 -Rear bumper

 -Front Bumper

-rear wheel arches, and door extensions

I glued rear wheel arches to the body of the car.  The shipping was DHL, home delivery. was it something like 360€ to Finland including shipping and parts.
