Frogs!

Featured Replies

Frogs re-appeared in our pond today which means it's officially spring!  Winter tyres now off and summers back on.  Had to take them off anyway as I'm collecting my new Outdoor SE 110 4x4 next Sunday. smiley4.gif

No frogs here and still getting temps from 1 to 11 degrees, so my winters are staying on for a while yet, plus they cope with the wet roads better.

Anyway enjoy the new motor :)

TP

I saw a frog in the carpark at work last Thursday

All four of our hens have started laying again - 17 eggs in the last week! They obviously think things are improving.

Winter tyres are staying on for the time being though. As TP says they are great in the wet and that doesn't show much sign of going away just yet.

I also saw a frog last week, he was called Rémy......

All over the place here ;-)

Toads on the move here - to the canal/river(brest-nantes/aulne) return trip june, the crows, rooks etc have a field day with the squashed and slow moving ones!!

Me too and I think that's at least a fortnight earlier than most years. Leaving my winters until the end of March in case we have a repeat of last year i.e. 4" of snow on 24th March.

^ ^ ^ on a cognac bottle I presume?

Just found this poor view of the june migration, the black dots are young toads

I have decided I like threads about Frogs.  :)

We have had 5 eggs in the last 2 days, from 4 hens like you.

It's a step down from having 72 hens and trying to convince the council you only have half that in 2 huts by putting a hole in the wall.

dbg400 is a hen?!!

hen-pecked - most probably...

Our frogs are lying in pairs at the bottom of the pond - pale one fully stretched out, dark one hunched up behind.  Motionless for hours on end.  Hope they're enjoying it...  And 2 big bundles of frogspawn.  Extra scoff for the fish in a few weeks' time (after the new Shark Blue S 1.2 arrives next week).

Frogs don't make yetis, its the cheques, maybe 2 cheque books together might produce one!(smileys don't work for me so imagine 1 or 2)_

Must be spring, Cobweb (our cat) has just brought her first mouse of the year home!!

First frog spawn in the pond today - won't be the last judging by the number of frogs.

10 days later than Salisbury (message #15) so spring must be moving up the country?
