Someone call the OCD police...

Ok.... I think I've now 100% established that I have some serious issues.

I've just returned indoors from cleaning the car with hose pipe and 2 bucket method  :drunk:  :yes:

I'm attending a RR meet tomorrow, and didn't want to take my car there in a complete mess. So the weather has been crap today, until this evening - no rain and actually quite warm! I didn't want to miss Top Gear and Dragon's Den (no Sky), so yes I've just been in the street with a head torch on!!

Not a perfect job by any means, but much cleaner!

I've done it with a mains powered 500w floodlight (on a tripod) before.  You are not alone! :D

Phew!  :whew:

Thanks christ for that!! Still... it's pretty bad though isn't it!?!!

I dried my car with my fluffy towel...........in the rain

Neighbours quizzical :D

I did clean a car a midnight once under a pir flood light on the drive, but that was because I was selling it the morning after. The buyer wanted to arrive 6am to look at it.

It sold so was worth it.

We have a motion activated spotlight - It has about a 3 min timer on it..

Yep - I jumped up and down in front of it - then had 3 mins to continue cleaning before repeating..

The neighbours actually asked me a couple of days later what I was doing as they could see the light come on and off for about 40 mins..

Exactly what I had to do, it did make me chuckle when I realised how funny I must have looked.

Great minds you see....

Mate Alan washes his regularly under a spot light

I confess to that a couple of times too

Welcome to the club :giggle:

...a much better option than washing under the full summer sun as some people do (neighbours!) and then wonder why their "clean" car is such a mess.

Hang on, so now we can't wash our cars on a summers day? What is this madness?

Surely the mess is down to other 'factors'?

+1

Never tried the midnight car washing under PIR floodlight scenario;

....but Alan (blueR36) did spring to mind - absolutely!  :giggle:

I guess i'll need to give it a go and see what i'm missing! LOL

Seeing as SWMBO has got the car most of the time (hers is in for warranty repair);

...this may be sooner, rather than later....

You are missing out ste! :D

Oh you tease!!!!  :giggle:

Been there, done that PIR included. I've also washed my car in the rain and dried it inside the garage which amuses the neighbour, but he cleans his car with a hose, 1 bucket and a sponge.......
