Carl - the PIR light situation is not the problem..... i have 2 x LED PIR fitted at my house;

its simply that i've never had the urge to wash my car in the dark.

 

BTW - on the PIR front i have installed the LED versions almost 3 years ago and still running.

Previous halogen style - i was changing the bulbs every 6-9 months. For anyone interested.
