New Arm Rest supplied and fitted by Skoda Dealer

Featured Replies

Hi,

Here is my new arm rest supplied and fitted by skoda dealer. Its Skoda's genuine centre arm rest. I am so pleased with it, dont know how was i driving without it. The quality and fitting is superb. Doesn't wobble, no rattles, feels so solid. I say every citigo should come with the centre arm rest or at least one should have an option to include it in the factory order.

It makes the drive so comfortable and makes the car look premium. Storage under the arm rest is another plus point. It doesn't even interfere with the hand brake as it folds away for more shoulder space.

So far so happy and recon every one should have a think about having one installed????????

That looks great. Was it expensive?

Dealer had quoted me £119 for the part and £95 to install it however he charged £189 (parts and labour) in the end..

That's a really good price. I wonder what my dealer would quote me.

Come on lads just buy the arm rest and fit it yourself it's simple enough ...£95 to fit this ..bullsh1t.

I know what you mean. I was thinking of doing it my self however i am not handy enough. I had tried to do such things before and messed them big time. This job needed drilling chopping the centre console off and I was bit nervous doing all that. In the end they charged £70 for fitting the part which I think is ok for people who don't want to fit themselves.

I'm glad that you are pleased. ;)

Reasonably priced I think.

Cheers Emil…..

Looks good but I wouldn't like cutting my console up.

Cuts are invisible when arm rest is fitted.

If you ever want to remove the arm rest you could buy a new console. I reckon it can't be very expensive. Then, why would you remove arm rest ever.

Shame the 'Skoda' official product can't match the plastic colour to the centre console - it looks a darker black (?). For almost £200 I'd expect it to match - otherwise it just looks 'aftermarket' - in which case why not just buy an aftermarket one for lots less money (and in the case of the Kamei) one that doesn't require cutting or the cost of replacing the centre console if you remove it...

I have seen after market arm rests and i find them bit wobbly and you always think they're going to fall apart. I understand that you have to drill the current central console however it makes the fit strong and sturdy. The part itself was £119 and the fitting was £70 which i could have done my self however I am not handy enough to take things apart.

Max. load for genuine arm rest is 90kg. I guess aftermarket arm rests cannot bear that much weight.

Yes, it is black. Does not bother me.
