Skoda Fabia radio

Featured Replies

The radio/cassette player on my wife's W-reg Fabia is in the process of dying. I have a spare radio/cassette player from my Vauxhall Zafira, having just invested in a new CD player.

The connectors are a physical match, and the aperture in the dash is the same size, but the Vauxhall radio/cassette player doesn't work when I plug it in. Is this something to do with security codes?

Hope you can help.

Many thanks.

pretty sure it needs to be a VAG approved radio something to do with different power input etc. you can use an aftermarket one or you'll find a pretty cheap one on here, if all else fails pm me and i can sell you my Symphony head unit for next to nothing.

Yes I think that must be right. From looking at the back of them I think they may have different fuse ratings too.

Thanks for the offer - I'll come back to you if I run out of inspiration!

Cheers,

David.

sorry, i don't have a tape player version! i have the CD player in the garage gathering dust. it's missing button 1 so if you want it keep your old one so you can steal the button off it! lol
