It's a good thing, it's when the metallic flakes in the paintwork stand out (pop) achieved by finding a good wax that works for your car.

Be prepared to test a few to achieve it. Depends on colour and paintwork too.

If I'm not mistaken Mike, I believe this refers to the Scandinavia breakfast cereal Flaké Pöp - pronounced Flay-Ki Puhp

It is a nutritious combination of hand rolled Swedish Oats and Squirrel droppings, characterised by it's Muesli-like appearance, nutty texture and stimulating effects on the bowels. Flaké Pop enjoys wide popularity among the Swedish, Norwegians and Icelandic.

As to its relevance to car cleaning I assume it is a recommended way to load carbs before a long detailing sesh.

Just been out to try Alpen, it's a bit dark but the flakes don't seem to be popping much.
