Bit the bullet

Featured Replies

Hi  evreyone, as title says bitten the bullet and bought myself a vrs, very high miler but from reading posts on here it looks like theses engines are pretty indestructible, its a 2003, 188,000 miler, but it has been very well maintained and all miles are motorway miles, had the turbo replaced a year ago and has been serviced twice a year from new, drives really nice, you wouldnt think it had done that mileage, needs a bit of body work, specially front bumper which is very heavily stone chipped, hopefully get it resprayed in the near future, got it booked in for a cambelt change next week as the previous owner not being very mechanicly minded didnt know if had been done or not so better safe than sorry, needs new tyres and justa little tlc, im looking at it as a bit of a project for myself try and get it back to original condition, hopefully I can get another 100,000 miles out the engine as I will keep it till it dies , only intend to use it for work which I do about 7000 miles a year or so. doesnt half shift, quite surprised by the power never owend a diesel before, glad I found this site been pretty informative so hopefully here to a few more years with it.

Nice one and welcome. Diesels rock :)
