Octavia VRS estate

Featured Replies

Evening folks, currently have a Mk4 Ibiza Cupra 1.8t and looking a getting rid to get a Octavia VRS estate at the weekend. Its a 2 owner 08 car 2.0 TFSI engine thats covered 31k, full service history and 100 miles ago had cambelt, water pump etc replaced. 4 new tyres, few extras although no zenons or parking sensors, does 8.5k sound a reaonable price to be asking for the said vehicle and also anything that i should be looking out for when viewing it?

Many thanks in advance, Barney.

Check out prices on eBay motors of auto trader if you want some benchmark prices, but sounds a bit on the high side maybe. Check for a functioning diverted valve, if it's split then you'll be down on power. Rear wheel bearings can go but at higher mileage than yours. If you search this forum you'll find a few threads just dealing with this topic.

Cheers for the reply mate. How would i check the DV's operation please?

It will feel slow. Given its about £60 to change to a later revision of the part that is much more robust it's worth doing anyway.
