New Fabia Monte carlo tech estate diesel

Featured Replies

Hi,

Just thought I would share my first impressions after 1 week of ownership and 1600 miles.  I picked up the Fabia Monte Carlo tech estate black edition from Telford last week and drove it back to the North West in terrible weather.  A quick wash and a few hours checking out all the equipment and we were back on the motorway to Bristol and then to Bath. Back home and another wash then back on the motorway Tuesday, 9 hours in the driving seat I visiting south Wales and then an overnight stay in Northampton. I returned home today and am 100% happy with my recent purchase.

The Satnav is great and the hands free is much improved over my previous car. The MFA registered 64mpg over 512 miles but after a check I worked this out to be more like 57mpg, The MFA registered 74mpg on the 180 mile return journey today but I was driving like my mother.  I always fit mud flaps on my cars but as Skoda don’t supply these for the monte  I have fitted a front pair from Rallyflapz and was surprised how well they fitted and it does not look like a teenager with his cap on backwards should be driving it, rear ones will follow when they are developed.  I also had the side protection strips fitted at my local dealer and a boot liner.  Will see how it goes over the next few months but so far so good.
