Looking at possibly buying a 63 plate VRS Octavia and found a rather nice one albeit it doesn't have sat nav.

 

Does anyone know if it is possible to upgrade the standard screen to sat nav and if so what sort of costs would be involved?

 

I know on the Octy 2 there were aftermarket ones although can't find any for the 3 yet?

 

Would welcome opinions on this please?

Apparently the "protection system" makes an upgrade beyond prohibitly expensive. One member on here has already tried that.

 

You're local friendly dealer *may* be able to help, but make sure you're sitting down when they give you the quote.

There is a way of adding sat nav to the existing head unit - I'm sure there's a thread in the O3 section somewhere. It still isn't cheap though!
