Featured Replies

Been looking into getting the mk1 fabia vrs remapped iv currently got a egr delete and deleted the backbox. Now a friend of mine sent me this link last night to a company called TDI tuning

http://www.tdi-tuning.co.uk/product.html/search/cat%5B%5D=0000002903/category_drop_down_1=0000000007/category_drop_down_2=0000000041/category_drop_down_3=0000000221/category_drop_down_4=0000002903/

Has anybody used them before or can anyone tell me if there any good and worth doing cheers

Just so you know, removing the EGR and Backbox will not make you gain power.

Not heard of TDI Tuning before, but they are within 10 miles of me.

Seem to have recently started sponsoring Briskoda too.

They have an open day next Sunday with a BBQ.

Might pop in for a nose. :)

Yea i have saw that they sponser briskoda now and also offer 10% discount to members of there products. Do people think that its worth doing?

Shark have pushed a lot on the forums and have a lot of happy customers, so lots of people will reccomend them.

TDI Tuning are not so well known on here.

Your profile says Wiltshire, maybe there is someone closer?

I go to Jabbasport (90 miles or so) purely because I've used them a lot and always been happy.

Yes, a remap is worth doing.

But there are a huge number of people to chose from.

I personally wouldn't travel from Wiltshire to Essex to try someone new without plenty of good feedback.

Well with tdi tuning you dont have to travel to them they sent you it. Its a tuning box you plug in. So isit worth getting the tuning box or going for a remap which basically gives the same amount of power?

I've run a tuning box and a remap on the same car.

If you have the choice I'd say remap.

Tuning box is for people who don't want to declare to the insurance company (easily taken off) or have a new car and want to keep Skoda in the dark with regards to the warranty.

Remap is just better.

Because it's not just fiddling the fueling and boost.

You might want to have a chat to Clive from CnTuning (near Bracknel) as it's an hour away and he does Shark maps I believe. Not got one myself as I've only had a service done by him but might be worth a call.

Thanks for all the advice i will give them a shout

Depending on where you are in Wiltshire, you could try http://www.dialynx.co.uk/ in Lydiard Millicent.

They are Revo agents and did my 1.9TDi Octavia for me a while back

Is that the sound of a can of worms being opened?
