Which spare wheel?

Featured Replies

Hi

I'm picking up a new Roomster in a couple of weeks. As it was already built when we ordered it I couldn't go for the cheap spare wheel as a "factory fitted" extra, so I'm looking at options of either a used spare wheel & tyre or a new spare & jack.

Can someone tell me exactly what wheel/tyre combo I need if I'm looking at second hand? What's going to fit?

Thanks

Paul

Do you know what size wheels your new Roomster is being delivered with?

15" Avior alloys.

as per skoda's website, 6,0J x 15", ET 43   - where although it's used in a winter tyre the steel is identical to a full size spare.

As that is a winter set I see they are using 185/55 whereas unless something has changed in the post-facelift model the standard tyre is 195/55.

EDIT: further reading, I find the approved winters can be either 195/55 or 185/55, although snow chains are only approved with the smaller diameter 185/55 tyres.
