windscreen trim problem!

Featured Replies

hi guys, just noticed the trim at the bottom of the windscreen is coming away a wee bit ,about  4" long. [the one that runs the length of the screen],could this be a water ingress problem?its about 1 mm gap from face of windscreen.

regards

Michael.

I wouldn't think so, as it would require a failure of the windscreen to body 'bonding' which in fact is a structural member giving stiffness to the body 'shell' .

The main consideration is to avoid creating a moisture trap by 'sealing' it resulting in rust.
