Hi all,

New to the forum, but not to the brand.

Previously run an '05 Mk2 Octavia 1.9 TDi & then an '06 Fabia vRS.

Found myself wanting a brand new car, and now that I'm newly single, a Fabia is plenty big enough. DPFs and initial purchase prices have steered me away from the diesels that I used to love, so when the current Fabia offer for the 1.2 SE 69PS at 8995 came up, I had to have one.

The spec is great for a supermini, and the economy is on a par with the previous generation of diesels - all for less than the price of the current base 1.2 60PS.

It's obviously a run-out edition prior to the launch of the next Fabia, but I don't mind that it won't look "current" for long - I didn't buy it to look fashionable!

Bit of a radical plan in place to convert it to a van, so will soon be offering the unused black cloth back seats, parcel shelf, and possibly rear cards for sale if anyone is interested?

Hi and thanks for the welcome. Yes, I realised after posting that my words might appear to constitute an advertisement; they were more a statement of intent :-)

I will be seeking my "freedom", and will advertise correctly after I get the van project off the ground.
