Dashboard time clock resets every-time egnition starts

Featured Replies

My car: Skoda Octavia 1999 1.8 Automatic.

Everytime the car is started, the dashboard clock resets back to 00:00, even though I change it to the correct time.

Any idea what could be causing this?

Thanks!

im going to go with corroded instrument panel connections.

not uncommon...

You've either lost the permanent 12v feed to the dash, or it's an internal fault.

According to AutoData, the dash has two permanent 12v feeds, one from fuse 15 which is a 10A, and the other from fuse 37 which is a 20A or 30A.

Pull the dash out and check for power on those two wires. Fuse 15 goes to pin A23 which is a red/violet wire, and fuse 37 goes to pin A30 which is a yellow/red wire.

If you've got those two powers, it'll be the dash at fault

is the clock the only wich resets?is like you disconect the battery?does the trip counter resets?

Yeah only the clock resets + also the radio keeps resetting, not sure why... is there any guides to this fuse thing?
