Calling ap coilover owners

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm finally getting my ap's fitted tomorrow but I'm not able to be there at the time

I've decided to go all the way down on the rear but undecided about the front,

I want a compromise between it looking good but not so low as I risk smashing the sump

I've been recommended 12 coils left by the guy who I brought them from,

Pics would be appreciated

Also I'm going for 4 wheel alignment, if I decide to adjust at a later date will it then need to be re aligned?

Thanks

Mine is down 12 coils at the front, if you want it sat level at the back you'll have to leave the adjusters out and the rubber mount it sits on so it's just the spring, here's mine all the way down on the back

That looks awesome, any issues with scraping or arches?

16's or 17's?

no issues whatsoever, doesn't catch on speed bumps either, and they're 17's

Running 16's at the min but was thinking about 17's

Will I need a realignment if I alter them at a later date?

When you say it's fine with speed bumps I take it you slow down and only take one wheel over the bump or just drive as normal?

Sorry, yeah, I slow down but it comftably goes over them with no issues like scapes :)

Cant believe how good the ride is on them!

Cheers for the comments and pics guys

The mechanic who's fitting them just rang and said there's no dust guards on rear shock, is this normal, says he can't see them either on the picture he's got from the packaging

So I'm guessing this is normal??

No problem!

Can't say I remember the rears, but the fronts I took the old dust cover off the old shocks and put it on the Coilivers, also put some copper grease on the threads to stop them corroding :)

Just read on cupra forum someone put the original dust covers from the rears onto the coilovers

Does this have to be done on mine?

I have no clue at all with suspension lol
