removed my recirc today... pile of ****e will be going back!

Featured Replies

Finally bit the bullet today and removed my recirc which is one month old...

Pushed piston in with my finger over the vac nipple and guess what happened!!!

Yes that's right, piece of ****.

Did the same test on the standard one I removed and this piston stayed put until I took my finger off the vac nipple...

I've lost most of my noise but the car goes like a stabbed rat and doesn't drop off boost like it was before. It's always the daily jobs I neglect and always do the bigger ones lol

Anyways, I have this almighty blow/his/loud noise from driver side of car.. have checked everything an  all seems fine except the join on the boost pipe that goes up to the turbo top (join between the stainless pipe and pancake pipe).. hope having front mount plummed in next week will sort this but the car goes like hell now!! :-o

Pancake pipe behind the front o/s wheel arch liner would be my guess as to the source of your hiss.

+1

That's the normal culprit and or hose from back end of engine to pancake.

Yeah def seems to be coming from there. .. and scratch some of what I said above lol..

Car cuts into limp mode but then with a boost leak id guess it would ay

i had that part replaced before my MOT and no more hissing :) think the part is around £40, its the part that joins to the stainless from the pancake pipe.

i was driving last year and was in a one on one with a scooby, tore past him then left him for dust, then POP my boost pipe comes apart and lost all power :( scooby went flying past tooting away as i was in layby with my bonnet up trying to suss it :P you can imagine how it went anyway haha!

I'm booking my car into longlife this coming week to have hard pipes made up for my front mount mate so I'm not going to bother with replacing that pipe as it will be done away with..

Sometimes it goes like hell from 3k other times it goes to boost then hits limp... New maf coming this week aswel

Go to Charlie at Pro Speed in Cardiff. Much better than Longlife & probably cheaper too.

no thanks.. already have mate.

known him for about 9 years and he said 350 quid.!!!

similarly, he quoted the same price for decat back system (i already have 3' downpipe and decat pipe) so from there back 350 quid.

he can shove it up his arse for that, got greedy compared to before..

longlife were a LOT cheaper mate
